Recruitment process

After the resume submission, the selected candidate will be notified by the recruitment team. There will be two rounds of interviews: technical case study and closing interview. In the technical case assessment, the candidate will have 2 days from the time of receiving the problem via email to complete and return the work. The successful candidate will be invited to the closing interview with the role’s direct supervisor, and potentially a final interview with the Founder.

Full-Stack Developer Lead

Mandatory Qualifications
- Experience with containerization (e.g., Docker) and orchestration tools (e.g.,Kubernetes & Ceph)
- Solid programming skills in Python, React, Shell scripting, Ansible
- Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and general DevOps practices
- Comfort working with databases (PostgreSQL, MS SQL), APIs, Network security, authentication (Oauth 2.0, IDP) and distributed system architectures
Qualifications
- Must be a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident of Canada or has work permit
- Minimum 3 years experience in similar role (Co-op term counts)
- Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related degree
- Additional background in DevOps, data systems, or cybersecurity is a strong asset
- Proficiency in Excel, VBA, C#, MS SQL, PostgreSQL, Python, and GitHub
- Knowledge of PowerBI, Visual Studio, Excel.DNA, and experience building custom Excel Add-ins (XLL, XLAM)
- Ability to write and debug multithreaded C# applications
- Familiarity with Interactive Brokers API is a plus
- Prior experience in the finance industry, particularly in derivative tradingKnowledge in options trading is a plus
- Dedicated home office with a performant home computer is mandator
- Attention to detail and flexibility around work shifts
- Understanding of computer hardware and optimization of a workstation is beneficial

Tax Strategy Analyst - (Summer 2025)

Compensation: $10,000 CAD flat rate for the summer
Hours: Flexible
Term: May to August 2025 (flexible start/end)
Eligibility: Must be enrolled in at least one course during the summer to qualify for the subsidy. (we can assist with registration)
About the role
We are looking for an experienced tax professional to join us on a subsidy-backed summer engagement. This is an ideal opportunity for someone with real-world tax experience who may be:
- Pursuing continuing education or re-entering the workforce
- Looking for impactful, high-level work in a fast-moving environment
- Interested in transitioning from external advisory to an embedded strategic role
This is not a junior position. You will work directly with the Founder and CIO on strategic legal/tax operations and help lay the groundwork for a proprietary internal tax software system. Successful completion of this role could lead to full-time employment once the term is over.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate and document TTG’s current tax process
Understand our GP/LP and International trading structure - Advise on transitioning some tax functions in-house
Identify what parts of tax preparation, filings, or compliance could be internalized in a cost-effective, low-risk manner - Lead the scoping of a proprietary tax software solution
Work with our software developers to define features, workflows, and reporting logic for a future internal system. This will be used as the foundation for a Capstone student development project.
Qualifications
- Eligible to work in Canada
- University degree in Accounting, Taxation or a related field
- CPA designation, enrollment in the CPA program, or equivalent tax/legal training is a strong asset
- 3+ years of experience in Canadian corporate tax or compliance
- Exposure to cross-border or multi-entity structures (e.g. LP/GP) preferred
- Strong organizational and documentation skills
- Willing and able to register in one course during summer (required for wage subsidy eligibility)
- Interested in working with a hedge fund at the intersection of finance, law, and technology
- Entrepreneurial mindset — thrives in a high-autonomy, high-impact role
- Based in Canada (Alberta preferred but not required)

Market Analyst
About the role
Tartigrade has identified various trading strategies that could prove quite lucrative, but they must first be tested in a simulated environment before implementing them with real money. The Analyst will be responsible to conduct this research, which involves gaining a solid understanding of each trading strategy by receiving training and conducting online research, scoping the research protocol, gathering the necessary market data, organizing the data, running the data through our proprietary market simulator and presenting risk/reward profiles.
The Analyst will also have the opportunity to monitor the day-to-day operation of the Fund. This will involve publishing daily performance reports, understanding the Fund's live positions, fixing bugs in the automated trading platform, assist with project management and assist in upgrading hardware and software.
The Analyst will report directly to the Fund's Chief Investment Officer (CIO) and so will be able to gain real world practical trading insights that are not easily found in textbooks. If the candidate demonstrates strong trading skills and his recommendations lead to the implementation of profitable trading strategies, he/she will be offered a trading role in the organization.
Qualifications
- Strong academic performance, GPA (>3.5/4.0)
- Proficient in Excel and VBA
- Knowledge of C# & SQL is a plus
- A degree in Finance, Computer Science or Engineering preferred
- Enthusiastic about learning about the market securities, especially options trading
- A high degree of accuracy and meticulous attention to detail
